As noted by MacRumors, the simulator known as Sky Gamblers: Air Supremacy has just gone live in the App Store. You might recognize the game from Apple’s iPad event last week, as it was one of the titles demonstrated on stage.
So what’s so special about Sky Gamblers? Well besides being one of the first apps to take advantage of the iPad’s new features, its developers are saying that the game delivers “console quality single and multiplayer experiences.”

Although most retailers won’t be opening their doors until 8am tomorrow morning, some stores have announced that they will start selling the new iPad as early as 12:01 EST here in the States…(...)

There’s really not much to say here. If you’ve ever used or seen an Apple TV 2, then you know exactly what to expect here. Physically the two devices are indistinguishable.
The only difference between the 2nd generation Apple TV and the 3rd generation Apple TV is that the latter supports 1080p resolution courtesy of a new A5 single core chip. Other than there, everything inside the box, all of the connectors — everything — is the same…(...)

For those of you wondering how Apple managed to keep the iPad’s legendary 10 hour battery life despite the addition of a Retina display and LTE technology, we’ve come across a good explanation: the battery is a lot bigger than its predecessors. Surprise!
How much is a lot? Well according to the recent iFixit teardown, and other reports, the new iPad’s battery has roughly 70% more capacity than the one used to power the iPad 2. But unfortunately this also means that it takes a lot longer to charge…(...)

Sure, Apple may have released Siri without all of the functionality that we’d like. But luckily, for those of us who are jailbroken, Cydia has a plethora of tweaks and add-ons available that make the digital assistant much more capable.
Such is the case with SiriSports. The new tweak, developed by Evan Coleman, adds the ability to look up sport scores and game times for your favorite professional team in the MLB, NBA, and NHL using Siri-flavored voice commands…(...)

Every time Apple releases new hardware, the tech world awaits its inevitable teardown. Apple’s products are just as much a feat in engineering as they are sleek and beautiful. And everyone wants to know how they’ve done it.
The new iPad is no exception. Apple has managed to squeeze over 3 million pixels into the tablet’s Retina display, and add a high-speed LTE radio, all while maintaing [roughly] the same size, price and battery life of its predecessors.
So what’s going on under the hood to make it all possible? Let’s find out…(...)
